Day Twenty: A Song That You Listen to When You're Angry

There are a couple of different songs I listen to when I get angry; it really depends on what I'm angry about. But this song is a song that I will put on whenever I'm angry. It came out at a time when I was just really frustrated by things going on in my life and listening to this was the only way I could really channel my anger. This song was game changing for the Dixie Chicks as well. It was their first single after their whole President Bush scandal. I think it's not even just about being angry, but about being frustrated and letting people know that you won't change who you are for anyone.

Day Nineteen: A Song From Your Favorite Album

I have quite a few favorite albums obviously since I'm such a music fan but I was listening to "Fly" by the Dixie Chicks over the weekend and remembered why it was always one of my favorite albums to listen to. There are so many awesome songs on the album and so many of them are awesome but I think this song is definitely one of the ones I enjoy the most. This song is hilarious even though it deals with serious subjects like domestic violence and murder. I love singing it at the top of my lungs.

Day Eighteen: A Song That You Wish You Heard On the Radio

When I saw this subject, I knew exactly which song I was going to pick. Yes, it's another McFly song but they're one of the few artists I love that you don't hear on the radio. They haven't come to the United States yet but I know with their new album 'Above the Noise' it is totally possible. This new album has a dance element that's really fresh and modern but keeps to their band sound with the killer guitar and instrumentation. This was the lead single off the album and I think it would fit in so perfectly with the stuff on the radio right now.

Day Seventeen: A Song That You Hear Often On The Radio

Well, there are only a handful of songs that you hear a lot on the radio now and that's the main reason I don't listen to it lol. But this song is actually really quite good. I was just talking about it with a co-worker the other day and explaining why I thought it was such a big hit. Lady Gaga really hit the music scene at the right time. She came and gave a voice to a group of people who didn't think they had a voice. Everyone is weird and crazy and off-beat sometimes but she's made it okay to be a little bit weird in popular culture. And this song has been smashing the radio and charts lately.

Day Sixteen: A Song You Used to Love But Now Hate

This hasn't happened to me for a long time, mainly because I stopped listening to the radio. Since the radio plays the same 25-ish songs all the time it's easy to experience burnout. Of course there are songs I myself have played over and over again but when you choose to listen to a song a lot you can step away from it for awhile if you start to tire of it. There's really only one song that I can remember drove me crazy after a while. It's funny because if you know me, you know that I love Justin Timberlake, but this song was everywhere! And then my mom started liking it and that was the end of it for me.

Day Fifteen : A Song That Describes You

Wow, this is a really difficult one. There are a lot of songs that I feel I relate to but not necessarily ones that describe me. I guess this is a song that I feel I relate to frequently. Its a great song and I really love Paramore. Getting to see them sing it live last summer was really badass.

Day Fourteen: A Song That No One Would Expect You to Love

No one ever expects me to like rap music but I actually do like some songs. This is seriously one of my favorite songs. I even have it as a ringtone for when I get text messages. I had never heard it until Lil' Wayne performed it on SNL when Michael Phelps was hosting. I also like T-Pain

Day Thirteen: A Song That's A Guilty Pleasure

I think this song is everyone's guilty pleasure. I can't help it; once they sang it on Glee I knew I was done for. But don't fret kiddos, I do NOT have Bieber fever. I promise. I don't even have the song on my computer.

Day Twelve: A Song By a Band You Hate

I really dislike the band Coldplay. I guess you can say that I hate them. There is one song I can tolerate of theirs though. I actually heard it yesterday and remembered why I liked it.

Day Eleven: A Song From Your Favorite Band

Most people don't know my favorite band, mainly because I'm usually more into solo artists. But I do have a favorite band! They're called McFly and they're from England. They're not well known in the US but they're amazing! They're on their 5th album in England and every one is it's own unique sound. It took me some time on which song to pick but this is one of my favorites.

Day Ten: A Song That Makes You Fall Asleep

This is not a bad thing. There are only a few songs that can really lull me to sleep. Usually it takes a few songs to get me relaxed enough but if you put on certain songs, I'm out like a light. There are two main songs that make me fall asleep. On my bedtime playlist I have them together to ensure my falling asleep. Oddly enough, they're both on the Twilight soundtrack.

Day Nine: A Song That You Can Dance To

How about we call this one "a song that you can do the dance to"? I like pop music; most of it is danceable so to me that doesn't give me enough direction. Plus I used to be a dancer so I can dance to pretty much anything. There aren't too many songs that have dances that I can do completely from start to finish but there is one... My friends and I in 8th grade spent all of our waking hours learning this dance and practicing it endlessly. I did it so many times that I can still do it without hesitation. Even though Justin is my favorite, I ALWAYS had to be JC. I always thought it was unfair but that's just life I guess right?

Day Eight: A Song You Know All the Words To

There are sooooo many songs that I know all the words to. I'm a music junkie so it's not really surprising that I know a lot of songs. Sometimes I forget words to songs after awhile but songs that I've really liked and listened to since about the age of 11 are pretty much burned into my memory, like this song!

Day Seven: A Song That Reminds You of a Certain Event

I've been thinking about this one for awhile and it took me some time to figure it out. I don't usually associate specific events with a song, even if songs are playing. But I finally decided on a song. Every time I hear this song it really minds me of my whole senior year but I guess I'll say this reminds me of senior trip.

Day Six: A Song That Reminds You of Somewhere

There are few songs that I can associate with a certain place. Of course I can associate songs with a certain time of my life but a certain place is a little harder. One of the places I most associate with music is California. I lived there for 4 months in the fall of 2007. I listened to a lot of music; in the car driving with my girlfriends and mainly in the various bars and clubs that we went to on the weekends. There are a few songs that come to mind when I think of my time in California but if I had to pick just one it would probably be Britney Spears. This was the time she was making her comeback and so the song got played everywhere! We listened to it a lot while we got ready, in the car, in the club and on the way home. I also remember watching the VMA performance in disbelief but hey, everyone has their bad times.

Day Five: A Song That Reminds You of Someone

Well, there are so many songs I could choose for a post like this. It's a hard one but I'm trying to think of a someone that isn't too cheesy and sentimental because that's not always fun. But the song I've chosen reminds me of a few someones and I think that is probably the best way to go. This song always reminds me of my friends because we ALWAYS sing it at karaoke. It's one of those standard songs we have because of how campy and ridiculous it is. It also reminds me of work because its on the cd we have at my job. And it even reminds me of my boyfriend because he said that he liked me a little more when I knew that this song was on Family Guy. Plus I freakin love this video; it's so 80s that it hurts.

*yes, I just Rick roll'd my blog!

Day Four: A Song That Makes You Sad

I had to really think about a song that makes me sad. There aren't really any songs that make me sad but there are some songs that are so melancholy that the emotion just gets me. I think the song that best represents that melancholy to me is Eleanor Rigby by the Beatles. Every time I hear it there is just something about the strings in the beginning and the lyrics that just get me. It's truly sad yet beautiful.

Day Three: A Song That Makes You Happy

There are a lot of songs that make me happy when I hear them but there aren't many songs that I can listen to when I'm having a bad day and make me feel better. There is one song that always does; Bob Marley's "Three Little Birds." I mean just the chorus of the song is enough to make anyone feel better.

Day Two: Your Least Favorite Song

This was a tough decision. There aren’t too many songs that I could say I don’t really like. there are songs I could say aren’t a favorite but to say my least favorite song? I had to really think about that for a little while. So I did and I’ve come to a decision…my least favorite song is “Clocks” by Coldplay. I didn’t really like the song when it first came out; actually whenever it came on the radio I would change the station but unlike a lot of songs I don’t really enjoy listening to, it never grew on me. I still don’t like it! I heard it in a movie recently and I just shuddered. I don’t know why but I don’t like it!

Day One: Your Favorite Song

So I amended this from your favorite song to your favorite song right now. It was hard for me to pick my favorite song ever so I picked my favorite song right now. I have recently fallen in love with Bruno Mars and his song "Just The Way You Are." I think it was when they sang it on Glee. Its such a good song ad while I don't find Bruno Mars attractive I looooooooove his voice. And I like the video too!
